“Love, Boundaries, and Understanding: Parenting Adult Children” is an insightful book that spoke directly to many of the challenges that I’ve been dealing with. It addresses issues like setting healthy financial boundaries, navigating life with adult children who still live at home, and supporting their mental health without jeopardizing your own balance. The advice is realistic, empathetic, and grounded in real-life experiences. This book helped me feel understood and gave me practical tools. Highly recommended for anyone struggling in this phase of parenting.

A caring and easy-to-read book with full of gentle advices on how to talk, listen, and stay close to our adult children while maintaining healthy boundaries. I really like the simple, practical tips that make family bonding stronger and more loving. An easy comforting guide toward better relationships with our adult children. Must read!

I wish this insightful guide was around when I was becoming an empty nester to help me to learn how to shift from caretaker to trusted advisor. I still sometimes struggle with over-involvement. After reading this book I realize that my help can also hurt and it is no longer my job to fix everything. 5.0 out of 5 stars From manager to advisor

The transition from manager to advisor as a parent of a 24 year old daughter was trickier than I expected. I learned a lot from that, but having read Love, Boundaries and Understanding, I feel so much better prepared and ready for child 2, Connor, who just turned 19.

"Practical, compassionate, and eye-opening"

I picked up this book hoping for guidance on navigating the tricky balance between offering support and respecting independence with my grown kids. It exceeded my expectations. The author’s tone is warm but firm, with relatable examples and clear strategies for setting healthy boundaries, improving communication, and letting go of control without losing connection.

What I appreciated most is that it doesn’t shame parents for past mistakes—it focuses on what you can do now to strengthen the relationship. I found myself underlining entire paragraphs and even re-reading certain sections before talking to my kids.
